Financial Security

In 2022, Shakopee increased the city levy by nearly $1.5 million (~7%) over 2021. 

Tax increases are not the only answer to building a thriving Shakopee. The City Council should not rely on raising taxes as the first option - it should be the last. 

On the City Council, I will exhaust all other avenues of securing funding for projects before even considering raising taxes on Shakopee.

This keeps more money in the pockets of Shakopee residents.
